Skate Canada members honoured at 2020 Skate Canada Virtual Awards Celebration

OTTAWA, ON: Thursday evening, Skate Canada honoured 16 award winners during the 2020 Skate Canada Virtual Awards Celebration. Unfortunately, the 2020 Ice Summit was cancelled because of the COVID-19 outbreak, but the show must go on!

The first edition of the Skate Canada Virtual Awards Celebration was streamed live on Skate Canada’s YouTube channel and was hosted by Skate Canada Digital Host and former national team member, Elladj Baldé. He was joined by the 2020 Canadian National Champions – Roman Sadovsky (men), Emily Bausback (women), Kirsten Moore-Towers and Michael Marinaro (pairs), Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier (ice dance), and Dana Malowany (synchronized skating, Les Suprêmes team captain).

The Skate Canada Awards program honours dedicated members of the skating community who have donated their time to help contribute to improving the quality of skating in Canada.
