Converge. Connect. Collaborate.

On behalf of Skate Canada, I invite you to join us in St. John’s for the 2016 Skate Canada Ice Summit. This conference, formerly known as the Skate Canada Annual Convention and General Meeting and National Coaches’ Conference, has been renamed as we unite all volunteers, coaches, officials and administrators.

While the skating world evolves both on and off the ice, so too is our organization. We look to better achieve a collaborative approach across the association regardless of level. Skate Canada values our entire membership and we appreciate the skills, knowledge, and opinions they have to contribute. We believe that to continue on our path to successfully accomplish our quadrennial goals and set our organization up for sustained positive outcomes, we must come together formally and informally to share information, learn together and from one another, and support each other appreciating our culture of diversity and excellence. The Skate Canada Ice Summit has been re-engineered to accomplish these goals.

This year, we are thrilled to offer a vast amount of opportunities for our membership at all levels within Skate Canada to benefit from a unique, enriching, and fun experience. We have lined up an incredible group of presenters, keynote speakers and moderators to foster teamwork and development. The variety of workshops focus on everything from branding and programming, to off-ice and mental training, to skating essentials, creative movements, edges, spins, and jumps – something for everyone to learn and to apply in their differing roles.

And of course, we look to connect participants from all areas of the country with a relaxing and fun selection of social and networking opportunities. We are pleased to be able to bring such a diverse community together to forge deeper relationships across all levels of the organization.

With so many of you who play important roles in the growth and development of our sport coming together in an atmosphere of open dialogue, we are certain to make great strides forward together.

See you in St. John’s where we will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate.
