FirstOntario Centre is one of North America’s premier entertainment venues, housing a variety of spectacular concert and sporting events each year.

The arena serves as home to AHL team The Hamilton Bulldogs and has been the site of many great moments in hockey, having hosted the World Junior Hockey Championships, the Canada Cup and the Memorial Cup. Other sporting events held at FirstOntario Centre have included the FIBA World Basketball Championship, the Legends of Tennis Classic, and a number of men’s and women’s curling tournaments. Sports entertainment organizations such as the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) and the Harlem Globetrotters have also held events at FirstOntario Centre, which is conveniently located near Hamilton Place and The Hamilton Convention Centre in the city’s cultural core.

With its large capacity and impressive acoustics, FirstOntario Centre has become southern Ontario’s go-to venue for live shows across all genres of music. The venue has played host to an amazing and diverse group of local and international artists, including U2, The Who, Rush, Bruce Springsteen, Britney Spears, and Elton John. Country acts Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have also performed at FirstOntario Centre, and the Juno Awards have been held at the venue numerous times and will return in 2015.
