Converge. Connect. Collaborate.
On behalf of Skate Canada, I invite you to join us in Ottawa for the 2017 Skate Canada Ice Summit. Each year, this conference unites our fabulous skating family from coast to coast as volunteers, coaches, officials and administrators gather together, share and learn.
This year will be particularly special in the nation’s capital as we become a part of the celebrations for Canada’s sesquicentennial anniversary. Not only is it a milestone year for our country, but also for skating in Canada. Skate Canada is celebrating 130 years as an organization in 2017, as well as the 35th annual Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships.
The 2016-2017 skating season has provided so many moments worth celebrating, and what better place to do so than the birth place of the Canadian championships of many of our skating legends, and of countless children’s dreams on ice – Ottawa.
The 2017 Ice Summit program offers a broad spectrum of informative and interactive workshops specifically targeting coaches, choreographers, officials, clubs and skating schools, and our sections. With a full slate of programming from renowned presenters, keynote speakers and moderators focusing on leading edge practices, this is a place for everyone to learn and share in order to continue to be our best every day.
Let’s not forget what makes our sport the best in the world – our great community. The Skate Canada Ice Summit allows the diverse members of the skating family to converge, connect, and collaborate both on and off the ice. It is with great pleasure that we are able to offer various networking opportunities and we can’t wait to continue to build meaningful relationships as we progress our sport.
We look forward to you joining us from June 2-4, 2017, and hopefully extending your stay to enjoy all the city has to offer.
See you in Ottawa!
