BRATISLAVA Slovakia – Kevin Reynolds of Coquitlam, B.C. won the silver medal on Saturday in men’s competition at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial figure skating competition.

Sergey Voronov of Russia won the gold medal with 237.42 points, Reynolds followed at 227.80 and Roman Savosin of Russia was third at 222.37.

An Olympic silver medallist in the team event in 2014, Reynolds previously competed here in 2012 and placed fourth. Last season, Reynolds won the bronze medal at the 2016 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships and placed 11th at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships.

In ice dancing, Mackenzie Bent of Uxbridge, Ont., and Dmitre Razgulajevs of Ajax, Ont., were 12th. Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitri Soloviev of Russia took the gold with Americans Madison Chock and Evan Bates second.
